Run n Fun and After 2.0

Generally, running events happen in the winter season, but in May hot season, someone dared to organise a running event, and what I understood from the participants weather does not matter. If someone wants to run, they can run any time in any weather. The event is not organised by a very big company but Zen Ahana and her team.

The run is scheduled on 25th May 2025. T-shirts were distributed in Decathlon Shakespeare Sarani one day before the run day. When I reached the Decathlon store, the printed t-shirt was not available. It took some time (nearly 1.5 hours) to print the Decathlon logo on the t-shirt, and then it was given to me. The color of the T-shirt was black.

The run event location was around Rabindra Sarobar Lake. I arrived at 6 AM. In the morning, the environment was beautiful. It was not too hot. Last night it rained, so the weather was very comfortable. There are lots of huge trees around the Rabindra Sarobar Lake, so naturally it was colder than outside.

The participants are gathered in a field. A gentle warmup happened, and the run started. The route was around the Ravindra Sarobar lake, and after running, reach a cafe for breakfast. There was no time tracking, no BIB, no pacer; it felt like a community run, but it was a very good experience.

During the run, I met with two people from my home area. I was given a Red-Bull on the route. Generally, I don’t drink Red-Bull, but this time it was opened and given to me. I drank a little just to experience. I observed that I have not been feeling fatigued for some time. I can run faster, my heartbeat is going high, but I can’t feel it that much. This might be okay for immediate action, but might not be good for a longer effect.

After running, I reached a cafe. A nice breakfast was served. There are a lot of options, and anything can be chosen. I have chosen Oatmeal with Banana and Mango. This was delicious. A goodie bag was given with some coupons and a water bottle. Overall experience was very nice.
